Gameplay

Swordplay

A fast-paced, action-packed

flurry of steel

Normal Attack

Simple, intuitive controls make it easy to execute stylish swordplay from the very start. Chain attacks into seamless combos while dashing and jumping across the battlefield to outmaneuver your enemies on the ground and in the air.

Skills

Equip up to six skills and use Spirit Power to unleash these devastating special techniques. Restore Spirit through normal attacks, then chain skills and combos together to overwhelm your enemies.

Defense

Deflect enemy attacks with precise parries and skillful timing. A well-timed counter can even repel incoming projectiles. Guarding consumes your Spirit Power, so manage it carefully. If it reaches zero, your sword will shatter. Sheathe your blade to restore your Spirit and return to the fight.

Switch Weapons and Forms

Adapt to every battle by switching between unique weapons and forms. Kisuke and Momohime can freely wield three swords. Okoi and Rajaki transform for powerful effects, while Gonbe and Arashimaru swap between specialized weapons. Choose the right approach based on your Spirit Gauge and the flow of combat.

Quick Draw and Area Attacks

Fill your Spirit Gauge by defeating enemies and collecting Souls. Once it’s full, switch your sword or form to perform a Quick Draw or unleash a powerful Area Attack. Both strike every enemy on the screen.

Pouch

Register consumables like healing items in your Pouch for instant access during battle. With two customizable sets of four slots each, you can equip up to eight items and activate them effortlessly using the directional pad.

Master techniques to shape

Master Secret Arts

Every sword is imbued with a unique skill. Wield it in battle to unlock its full potential, then enhance or swap skills to customize your combat style.

Enhance Your Skills

Spend Vitality Points gained from food to strengthen your skill. Continue wielding each sword and use its skill to increase its proficiency and unlock even greater power.

Assign Your Skills

Equip up to three skills each for ground and aerial combat, then switch between them instantly using the directional pad. Mix and match abilities to create a combat style that's uniquely yours.

Smithing

With the legendary swordsmith Muramasa , Kisuke and Momohime can forge swords imbued with powerful, new skills . This process requires Souls from fallen enemies, so make sure to gather some on your journey.

Training

Train Okoi, Gonbe, Arashimaru, and Rajaki to learn powerful new skills. Craft Charms that upgrade their forms or weapons by using Souls you’ve collected throughout your journey.

Enhance Your Arsenal

Improve the swords and charms you create by upgrading them to increase their Attack and Spirit. You need not only Souls, but also rare materials like Refined Steel and Talismans to enhance your equipment.

Enjoy Travel

Indulge in some

well-deserved relaxation

Hot Springs
